*French Immersion Note: All classes have two teachers, one who speaks English to the children and one who speaks French to the children. Skills and content are instructed in both languages. This model of language immersion is ideal for young children to not only gain second language skills, but also open neural pathways for divergent thinking as they develop into young problem-solvers.
Designed for children ages 2-3 years old, this class is an introduction to being part of a social group. Activities focus on social skills (i.e. learning to be away from mom/dad, sharing, taking turns, communicating needs, interacting peacefully with peers), basic self-efficacy skills (i.e. cleaning up, putting on a coat, opening/closing containers), and fine and gross motor development. The daily schedule includes a circle/story time, art and sensory play, active play, snack and lunch, and lots of time for play and exploration. Children attend a weekly Music class and Chapel Time.
Parents can choose from a 2-day, 3-day, or 5-day schedule for this class. All days are 9:30 am – 1:30 pm.
Manatee Three’s Class
Designed for children ages 3-4 years old, this class continues a focus on gaining social skills while adding an academic component that is developmentally appropriate. We use the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum to introduce letter recognition and early writing skills. Pre-math skills are taught through fun sorting, counting, patterning and calendar activities. Skills and content are integrated through imaginative play activities and hands-on learning stations. The daily schedule includes a circle/story time, art and sensory play, active play, snack and lunch, and lots of time for and exploration. Children attend a weekly Music class and Chapel Time.
This class meets 4 days (Tues, Wed, Thu, Fri) 9:30 am – 1:30 pm.
Llama Multi-Age Class
Designed for children ages 3-5 years old, this class offers flexibility for student and family needs. Children are instructed at their level of development and academic readiness, using many of the same components of the Manatee and Panda classes. The multi-age environment encourages social skills, strong self-confidence and leadership skills alongside individualized academic instruction. Children can attend this class for one year or two consecutive years, giving parents and children the opportunity to maintain a familiar teacher and class over the preschool years for optimal growth and development. Upon graduating this class, children will be well prepared for their next steps.

Panda Pre-K Class
Designed for children ages 4-5 years old, this class continues to offer a play-based program while increasing academic exposure. We continue to use the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum to develop early writing skills. Additionally, students begin associating letters with sounds and putting sounds together to make simple words. Pre-math skills continue to be taught, while increasing the challenge with problem-solving activities. Skills and content are integrated through imaginative play activities and hands-on learning stations. As the year progresses, students are encouraged to accept more responsibility in the classroom, both for maintaining focus on their own work/play as well as for functioning together as a group. The daily schedule includes a circle/story time, art, sensory play, active play, snack and lunch, and lots of time for exploration. Children attend a weekly Music class and Chapel Time.
This class meets 5 days (Mon – Fri), 9:30 am – 1:30 pm.
** NEW ** Kindergarten Class
Designed for children ages 5-6 years old, this class prepares children for the academic world of elementary school, whether planning to enter 1st grade or another Kindergarten in the following year. While continuing to honor learning through play, this class helps children learn to tend to tasks longer and practice self-regulation skills through work in independent, small group, and whole group activities. The academic curriculum provides a solid foundation for literacy, math, social studies and science while the arts and French language are integrated into all aspects of the day. Lessons are guided by student curiosity and inquiry. Children are encouraged to be creative, try new things, and celebrate both successes and mistakes as equally important parts of the learning process. Children graduate from this class as confident, resilient, curious and creative lifelong learners. Children attend a weekly Music class, French Focus class and Chapel Time.

** NEW ** Morning & Afternoon Playcare
Designed to meet the demand for more hours of childcare, this program combines children from all classes in the preschool for a recreational care experience. Children can be dropped off before the school day starts, between 8:30 and 9:30. In the afternoon, preschoolers spend the first hour in a quiet rest time, then Kindergarteners join them for an afternoon of fun. Playcare staff collaborate with morning classroom teachers to extend current lessons through projects and games. Children enjoy lots of outdoor play time. Parents of preschoolers enrolled at Trinity can choose from 1:30-3:30 or 1:30-4:30 options to extend their child's day. Parents of Kindergarteners enrolled at Trinity can choose from 2:30 -3:30 or 2:30 - 4:30 options to extend their child's day.

Trinity Preschool offers a high-quality Early Childhood Education Program (curriculum). Trinity Preschool operates as an outreach ministry of Trinity United Methodist Church. It is open to teachers and children of all faith backgrounds. There is a weekly chapel time during which the pastors share age-appropriate Bible stories. Children also learn to say a blessing before mealtimes and learn the act of praying for guidance and for others. Teachers are encouraged to extend love and acceptance to all children by being faithful stewards of their education and celebrating their individual backgrounds.

Dear Miss Janine,
In February, I brought you a child struggling with transitions, craving knowledge and friendships. Enrolling her in your class was simply the best choice we could have made for Siobhan. She has flourished and loved every minute. She has thrived. In such a short period of time, she has learned letter sounds and days of the week but to hear Siobhan talk about school, she will tell you that she sings songs, paints and plays with her friends. I am most impressed with the subtle method you incorporated educational tasks into activities the children love. Every activity has a purpose. Successful people make their hard work appear easy. Janine, your success is my child’s success. While Siobhan and I both are sad that her classroom time with you is coming to an end, I am profoundly grateful for your stabilizing, consistent, loving presence. You will truly be missed.
Since 2014, both of my kids have been fortunate to attend Trinity Preschool. All of the staff is fantastic and created a fun, welcoming environment to prepare our children for a lifetime of learning. Both Ms. Janine and Ms. Delphine have made lasting, positive impacts on our lives. My daughter, now in Kindergarten, still takes French lessons with Ms. Delphine. On a play date with a work colleague a few weeks ago, she got to "test" her French with a young, native speaker. I was so impressed with her ability to communicate small things with her French speaking peer. Thank you Ms. Delphine! We also owe a huge thanks to Ms. Janine and the staff at Trinity for help with my son. He showed some early signs of fine motor delays and Ms. Janine was a huge help in walking us through the process to get additional services and creating a learning environment that would benefit his needs. He has improved so much with the help of all the staff at Trinity and benefited from their loving, positive approach. Thank you Trinity Preschool! I'm confident that because of your guidance my kids will be off to a great start in elementary school.
Trinity Preschool has been a place of joy and growth for our daughter. The nurturing environment and loving teachers have instilled in our child an innate sense of confidence and trust in teachers. We see this played out at church, sports lessons, and camps as she quickly adheres to instruction from various leaders. We've watched her grow from a toddler into an experienced student ready to learn. We feel confident our child will enter kindergarten reading and writing at an age appropriate level. One of our favorite aspects of the school is the extended family we have gained. The children love and care for one another deeply, welcome new students readily, and ask after one another's welfare; the teachers are equally as caring and warm to our entire family. Indeed, although our daughter will be launched into an academically rigorous program for which she is well prepared we will always long for the years of playful learning and loving embraces at Trinity Preschool.
When looking at preschools for my twins, my first reaction to Trinity Preschool was how warm and welcoming they were. It was important to me that my kids feel safe, nurtured and stimulated and Trinity checked those boxes and more.
My twins are now in their final year at Trinity and they have cherished their time there. Reflecting back, I can clearly see how much thought has been placed into each activity they do. From developing fine motor and language skills to now learning science, music, art and French, learning is made fun. My children are not only ready for kindergarten, they are excited to learn. Without hesitation, I would recommend Trinity Preschool to anyone considering preschool for their child.
