“But Jesus said, Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.” Matthew 19:14
Children's Worship
4 years – 6th grade
Sundays during 10:30 service
Here at Trinity, children are especially valued and seen as an integral part of our faith community.
We offer children ages 4 through 6th grade a meaningfully guided and enjoyable worship experience. At our 10:30 am service, children are encouraged to participate in the Children’s Message, after which they depart with worship leaders for Children’s Worship, a Sunday school class held in the adjacent Fellowship Building. Our class offers an age-appropriate Bible lesson accompanied by activities that reinforce understanding, faith, and discipleship. When the service has concluded, children are dismissed to their parents. Families are invited to stay for Fellowship Time for conversation and refreshments before departing.
Children's Folders
Children’s folders are provided in Narthex prior to the service for use while in the sanctuary. They contain drawing and other materials that correspond to the weekly Lectionary.
For questions about Children’s Ministry please contact our Director of Children’s Ministry, Laurie Strollo at lstrollo@umtrinity.org.
Confirmation class for 7th
graders, and older who have not taken the class. A class is not
scheduled at this time. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Dave.
What is Confirmation Class?
In order to mature in their own faith journey, the confirmands will explore what the Bible teaches us, what it means to follow Jesus and how we serve God as members of the United Methodist Church. Confirmands will learn about our church history, our beliefs, and our practices. This class will aid in their spiritual formation on their life long journey as followers of Christ. At the end of the class each confirmand will decide if they are ready to become full members of the church.
Your Confirmand needs a Faith Friend:
Each confirmand needs a Faith Friend. A Faith Friend is an active adult member of the Trinity Church family who will journey alongside a confirmand. They will check in weekly and will share their own faith journey and experience with their confirmand. A Faith Friend should not be related to the confirmand. Ideally, there is someone the confirmand can identify within our church family to fill this role.
Contact Pastor Dave or Catherine Wethington if you have any questions.
Youth Group (Grades 7-12)
Trinity Youth Group welcomes all youth in grades 7–12 for a year of fellowship, faith, and fun! We meet during the school year on Sundays from 4:30 - 6 p.m. for Bible study, dinner, games, and time together as a community. It's a place where lasting friendships grow alongside a deeper, personal faith.
Beyond our Sunday gatherings, our youth take the lead in giving back. From the annual coastal cleanup with Ocean Conservancy to Flood Bucket assembly, food and coat drives, volunteering at Sprout Therapeutic Riding Center, and supporting SHARE of McLean's New Beginnings program, our students find real, hands-on ways to serve our community and beyond.
And of course, we make time for fun! Retreats, mini golf, ice cream socials, laser tag, amusement park trips, and more fill out our calendar throughout the year.
At the heart of it all, Trinity Youth Group is about the lifelong friendships we build and the memories we make while giving back together.
All youth must have a completed registration form to participate in youth activities. Click the Register button above to register.

Our small group Bible study is an interdenominational Bible study in your community. People from different churches with varying levels of Bible knowledge gather in a caring community to study and grow in relationship with the Lord through individual study, small group discussions, effective teaching, and fellowship.
Please invite others — your friends, neighbors, business colleagues — to join us as we “engage God’s Word.”
How would your life change if Christ were your ultimate Source?
