Let's BE CHurch Together WHile APart

March 17, 2020

Responding to the recommendation of the CDC and the White House that there should not be any gatherings of more than 10 people, Bishop Lewis (Va. UMC) has directed that there be no in-person worship through Sunday, March 29. However, this does not mean that we cannot experience worship. Trinity Church has scheduled the following services online:

All of these services will be available for later viewing on the above platforms. No account is needed to access our Facebook page or Youtube channel. As much as we can, these services will also be available for later viewing on our website’s sermon page.

A way to continue your financial support during these uncertain and shaky times can be done through our Trinity app and through our secure giving page. Our app also includes all of our current information and Youtube feed in one convenient place.

As we continue to find new and innovative ways to be church together during this period of socialdistancing, please help us wish our oldest-living member a happy 99th birthday on April 1. Eunice Shadle is living in Maryland and misses her church family. Please consider sending a card or note:

   Eunice Shadle

   Montevue Assisted Living

   1910 Rosemont Ave # 113

   Frederick, MD 21702

You may continue to send your prayer requests to us through the secure form on our website.

If you have other ideas for being church together while apart, please let us know.

If you need to speak with any of the pastors, please reach out to them:

   Jim Sprouse, jsprouse@umtrinity.org

   Keith Lee, klee@umtrinity.org

   Eileen Gilmer, egilmer@umtrinity.org

If you feel you need a face-to-face meeting with one of them, that can also be arranged in-person, by FaceTime or through Zoom.

March 14, 2020 Update

Keep in Touch with Trinity Church

During this uncertain time, please know that your Trinity Church clergy staff is keeping you in prayer. Because we will not be holding church in person for a few weeks, we want to offer you ways of having a time of worship, prayer and reflection at home.

Had we met for church in person, Pastor Keith would have preached on Sunday, March 15. Here's a link to his message that is very timely in light of our current coronavirus status:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ge5UQrmVl0

There is another opportunity to connect. Be sure to join us tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. on Facebook live. Join Pastors Jim, Keith and Eileen. Pastor Jim will have a message and we'll have a time of prayer.

We'll see you tomorrow on the Trinity UMC, McLean page for Facebook live at 10:30 a.m.

Don't forget that you can connect with us 24 hours a day on the Trinity UMC, McLean app. You can find it in the Apple or Google Play store.

Let us know how we can be of help. You are an important part of the Trinity family.

Peace,

Jim, Keith and Eileen
