Jim came to Trinity after serving as the pastor of an ecumenical congregation, United Christian Parish in Reston, VA. He has served as a pastor since 1976. He graduated from the University of Virginia undergraduate and graduate schools and Union Theological Seminary, and also taught at Union Theological Seminary and the School of Theology at Virginia Union for 12 years. He has served Virginia Conference churches at: Schuyler-Green Mountain Charge, Willis, Bon Air, Aldersgate, Emmanuel, and United Christian Parish, and is the Chair of the Arlington District Committee on Ordained Ministry
Jim is married to the former Mary Price Carpenter of Richmond, VA. Molly was a writer and copy editor with the Richmond Times Dispatch. Their 3 children are adults. Catherine manages the Barnes and Noble bookstore in Bethesda, MD. Emily works for Homeland Security. Patrick works at Neighborhood Investments in Charlottesville.

Our Associate Pastor, Eric Song, is working with our Youth Group here at Trinity. He graduated from Hampden-Sydney College undergraduate and graduate school of Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, VA. He is currently a licensed local pastor and is working towards ordination in the UMC. He also works with the Young Adults group and leads the Praise Service on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:45 p.m.

Pastor of Congregational Care Pastor Gretchen A. Miller. gamiller@vacoxmail.com
Gretchen has served as a United Methodist pastor in Northern Virginia for 20 years, including the congregations of Faith UMC, Alexandria, and St. Luke's UMC, Falls Church. She received her BA from the University of Central Arkansas, Conway, and her Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary, Washington D.C. Pastor Miller interfaces with several committees, including worship and outreach, to plan special worship services and events and connect with Trinity's newcomers.

Our Director of Christian Education, Amy Crisp, graduated from Randolph-Macon College with a BA in Religious Studies and French, and she earned a Master of Arts degree from Wesley Theological Seminary, Washington D.C. Amy is currently a certified candidate for ordained ministry as a Deacon in the United Methodist Church. Her vision is to inspire others to develop and grow in their faith and relationships through religious education.
She is married to Andrew Crisp who works as an analyst for SAIC.
